Wareham to Bournemouth for treatment
From the Quay or the town walls, take the A351 to the A35 at Bakers Arms, follow it east past Upton and join the A3049 Dorset Way into Bournemouth, leaving at Wallisdown for Talbot Woods. Thirty-five minutes is a fair estimate, and the train from Wareham to Bournemouth with a bus up Wimborne Road works if you would rather read than drive.
Wareham and the Purbeck villages give us walkers and cyclists from Wareham Forest and the Purbeck hills, sailors from the Frome, and farming and forestry workers with the back problems that heavy outdoor work brings. Care plans for patients this far out are spaced more widely, with exercises to carry you between visits.
Saturday appointments are the favourite from Wareham, often combined with a morning in Bournemouth, and the free parking at the clinic means the trip costs nothing beyond fuel.
If you are coming by train, the Wareham to Bournemouth service takes under half an hour and the Wimborne Road buses from the station stop two minutes from the clinic, which several Purbeck patients prefer to the A35 on a summer Saturday.
