Who we help

Chiropractic care for sportspeople

Footballers, gym regulars, runners and martial artists come to us when pain starts to dictate what they can train. The aim is simple: find what is driving it, treat it, and get you back to doing what you love.

Who this is for

Sound familiar?

Elliot trained as a Sports Therapist as well as a chiropractor, and a large share of the clinic's patients are people who train hard and want to keep doing so. Some arrive after one bad tackle or a lift that went wrong; more often it is years of wear that finally stops them moving properly.

Patients have come to us close to quitting football because of the pain they felt after every game, with mid-back pain that kept them out of the gym, and with the kind of long-term lower back problems that stop a black belt training. The pattern in their reviews is the same: a thorough look at what was actually going on, a plan, and a return to sport.

Your first two visits

How the New Patient Consultation works for sportspeople

Two visits: a thorough first-visit examination, then a report of findings with your care plan and, if you are happy to proceed, your first adjustment.

  1. Visit one: a proper look at how you move

Your first visit covers your health history and the injury, followed by a neurological and orthopaedic examination, digital posture analysis and gait analysis, with balance and weight-distribution testing. For sportspeople that picture of how you actually move, not just where it hurts, is the point: the painful spot is often compensating for something else.

  2. Visit two: a plan built around your training

At the report of findings Elliot explains what the tests showed and shares a care plan: what he can do, what you can do to support yourself, and how that fits around your training and fixtures. If you are happy with everything, your first adjustment follows in the same appointment.

Patient story

In their words

One of the sportspeople who came to the clinic, as reviewed on Google. Read more reviews.

I was recommended to Elliot from my Jiu Jitsu coach. I’m a black belt with over 25 years of wear and tear on my body, I experienced severe lower back issues to the point where I could not move, let alone train. I visited Elliot, had a consultation and a treatment plan was put in place.
