The first time you visit the clinic, we focus on finding the root cause of your issues and how we can help you get better.
Your New Patient Consultation is made up of two visits. On the first we examine and test; on the second we go through what we found, share your care plan and, if you are happy with everything, begin your care.
Your first two visits, step by step
Your first visit
During your first visit your chiropractor will thoroughly review your overall health and spinal condition in relation to your primary complaint, and conduct a series of diagnostic tests including a neurological exam, orthopaedic exam, digital posture analysis and gait analysis.
This appointment usually lasts 30 minutes and includes:
- Review of your health history
- Neurological and orthopaedic examination
- Digital posture analysis
- Gait analysis
- Vitality tests, including heart rate variability
- Balance and weight distribution
- Ribcage expansion
Your second visit
This is a shorter report-of-findings appointment where your chiropractor goes through the findings from your first visit. It includes:
- An explanation of what we have found regarding your complaint
- Talking you through the results of the vitality tests
- Sharing your chiropractic care plan with you, including what we can do to help and what you can do to support yourself
- Treatment recommendations
- Answering any questions you may have regarding your health
Beginning your care
If you are happy with everything discussed in this appointment, we can go ahead and begin your care with your first adjustment.
Based on the information collected, a customised treatment plan is created to best suit your needs. This comprehensive and personalised approach ensures that each patient receives care tailored to their unique health needs, promoting optimal healing and overall well-being.
As you continue through your care, these tests are repeated to monitor your progress.
