From Hamworthy across Poole
Hamworthy is the furthest of our Poole areas, around twenty-five minutes door to door. Cross into Poole over the Twin Sails Bridge, join the A350 and then the A3049 Dorset Way heading east, and leave at Wallisdown for Talbot Woods. Bridge lifts are the only wildcard, so check the lift times before you set off.
Patients from Hamworthy include people who work at the port and the marine businesses around Lake Pier, families from the newer homes near Hamworthy Park, and plenty of dog walkers from Rockley Point and the beach. Lifting and carrying at work, and long stints behind the wheel, account for most of the back and neck problems we treat from here.
With a journey this long, our Hamworthy patients book in blocks and favour Saturday mornings, when the bridges are quieter. Free parking at the clinic means the day's only parking cost is zero.
If the lifting bridge timings are awkward, the A350 around Upton and onto the A3049 avoids the harbour crossing entirely and adds only a few minutes. Patients who work at the port often ask for the first Saturday slot so the rest of the weekend is untouched.
